Metal coat stands to make clients feel at home

metal coat stand in cream whiteIf you subscribe to our blog, you’ll know that we’ve been undertaking a lot of commercial projects recently.  So, we thought we’d write something especially for our business audience this week.  Though, we do hope that all our readers find it enjoyable; the ideas mentioned are very much applicable to the home too, as well as in a commercial environment.

One way to encourage clients or customers to spend more time and money with your company is to make them feel at home.  Nothing does this better than a strategically placed coat stand.  It invites them to take off their coat, relax and feel comfortable.

Placed by the entrance to your boutique store or coffee shop, you’re immediately making your cucontemporary metal coat stand in blackstomers feel welcome, and inviting them to stay longer to browse, or drink more hot beverages. In an office, the key is to make clients feel at ease with their surroundings, encouraging them to browse brochures, read pamphlets and chat to your sales staff.

The entrance to your business premises is the division between the outside and inside environments.  Whatever the type of business, people need to feel comfortable and welcome.  A coat/umbrella stand helps to break down threshold fear.  You’re effectively saying, we want you to spend time here and it’s OK to browse.

Aside from the basic practical plus; that you’ve got somewhere to hang coats, you can really make a design statement.  Our traditional Classico metal coat stand (pictured above) is perfect for a rustic or vintage décor.  This is ideal for the entrance to a bistro or antique book store.  Choose our contemporary Orbit coat stand (right) for your modern office suit or our sleek, Kris coat hanger when space is limited.

We offer a choice of 5 different colours to match any interior style.  Choose from anthracite grey, silver grey, smooth silver, cream or white.  You then have the option to add a patina finish in bronze, gold, silver or green.

We’re branching out into retail furniture, fixtures and fittings!

commercial-furnitureWe are proud to share with you that we’ve recently been working with a chain of boutique shops called Mia Zia (meaning ‘my aunt’).  The retailer is based in Italy, with stores dotted along coastal cities and throughout tourist towns including Grado, Lignano, Bibione and Caorle.  They sell ladies fashion accessories; earrings, necklaces, bracelets, scarfs and shawls, handbags, wallets, umbrellas and lots more.

We kitted-out their outlets with bespoke furnishings from our garden structures and accessories ranges.  The results are elegant, yet highly functional store racking and shelving to enhabespoke-store-rackingnce shopper-experience.  The unique store furniture will give the outlets a touch of class to attract high-end customers.

The above photograph features our Classico iron pergola which was custom made to the retailers exact specifications. The shelves were formed with an adapted version of our Classico metal shelves.  They will display jewellery, leather goods and other accessories.

Extra functionality is gained with the ability to hang belts, scarves, necklaces and more from the top bars.  This will allows the creation of some really interesting displays.

The other pictures show how retail-furniturewe created bespoke racks with our Tivoli iron garden arches.  Once again, items can be hung from the top bars and the shelf can be used to display matching accessories.  You’ll also see our iron umbrella stand which are ideal to show-off Mia Zia’s fashion umbrellas.

Mia Zia decided on a combination of black and white fittings, depending on the store.  The graceful white furniture creates a pretty, romantic look, whereas the black is more sophisticated and edgy.

We offer commercial metal furniture for a range of applications including TV sets, hotels, guest houses, bars, restaurants.  If you’d like more information, contact us on 0208 144 6621.

Beautiful beds for teenage dreaming

Medically speaking teenagers need lots of sleep.   While some argue this has more to do with late nights on the games console, rather than hormonal upheaval; studies have shown that teenagers need at least 9 hours sleep per night.  A high quality bed is vital for a quality night’s sleep.  This will in turn make them feel happier, healthier and increase their concentration levels at school.

Teens also need their own space.  It’s the norm for them spend more time in their bedrooms than they do in other parts of the house.  Their bedroom is a safe-haven, a place for study, daydreaming, time with friends.  One of the best things you can do for your teenager is to give them a trendy, stylish, pleasant place to relax.

Here are 3 metal beds from ourmetal beds for teenagers range that are just perfect for teens;

Cinderella bed for girly girls

Sleek, modern Linea bed for lads

Maya bed system for sleep overs

Our beds are available in your choice of colour and finish.  How about an electric blue for your teen boys, or pretty pink for girls?  Choose their favourite colour, or select a colour based on the existing décor?  Silver, black, gold, white are natural and will really make a statement in your teen’s room.

Aside from giving them a stylish bedroom, you’ll also be giving them the good night’s sleep they crave.  Our beds have a high quality sprung slatted base in a wooden frame.  This is not only comfortable but makes any movement completely silent.  Similarly, unlike other beds, our unique three-point frame construction prevents squeaks and creeks in the night.

2013 Garden Furniture Trends from the Spoga Gafa Trade Fair

We’ve been on our travels again.  Last week was our annual visit to the Spoga Gafa trade show in Cologne.  Around 2,000 suppliers visited the City on the Rhine to present their latest garden furniture designs.

Casual and cool-chgarden sofa setic are the keywords for garden furniture in 2013.  Here’s our report on what’s trending, to keep you up-to-date on the most fashionable garden styles.

Clear shapes, comfortable proportions, minimalistic design and cool colours

Garden living sector in Europe is growing, with a 2.75% increase forecast for 2012, due to younger fresh-air fans that want to have cool relaxed outdoor ambience.  This has brought about a revolution in the industry where 30-something’s are ditching their formal furniture for casual, contemporary looks.

Hanging Out

The garden is our number one place to relax in the summertime.  Casual, cool garden lounge sofas and which invite metal gazebos for shelter and privacypeople to just ‘hang out’ are a key trend.  We’ve seen that garden chairs are becoming comfortable loungers, armchairs or sofas.  Light-weight, modular style seating that can be re-arranged into different settings is preferable.

Indoors are IN

Garden furniture designs have shifted towards typically indoor shapes (sofas, rocking chairs).  Textiles and seat covers are almost indistinguishable from fabrics you’d find indoors.  This is combined with outdoor lamps, wall décor, rugs and even carpets.  Cosy, comfortable and high-value cushions are a key accessory.  Contemporary pavilions or metal gazebos with roofs and sidewalls are necessary to protect everything from the elements.

Quality counts

The trend towametal and wood chairrds higher-quality products has continued to get stronger.  People demand high-quality materials and want to invest in garden furniture which is made to last.  High quality, combination steel/wood designs, in natural colours have followed on from last year’s Nordic influence.

Sophisticated designs

Furniture designs are relaxed, in elegant designs that don’t give the effect of being too formal.  Elegantly formed pieces antrending metal garden furniture designsd have fine structural lines that create a charming play of light and shadow.  For example, a combination of modern simple table and intricate feminine chairs with filigree structures, with tiny rods, cords, nets.  It’s no surprise that laser cut patterns were a key feature too.

Garden colours

We are getting bolder with colour choice for 2013.  We noticed lots of white designs, with splashes of intense colours including green, yellow, blue, and orange.  Even classic wrought iron furniture designs are emerging in bright colours, or in shiny white.  From the fashion catwalk, into your garden – the trend colour for 2012/2013 is definitely blue!  Blue creates calmness, security and freedom.  Combine with white, natural beige or browns.
