Metal Design Furniture at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Two years ago, Metal Design Furniture collaborated with Raine Garden Design to win a silver-gilt medal at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, for our Potential Feast garden. That garden featured plants which were both beautiful and edible, and was finished off with a range of pieces from our collection. If you want to see a video of that garden, have a look at the clip that features on our home page.

We’re very excited to be working with the amazingly talented Raine Clarke-Wills of Raine Garden Design once again. Together, we’re creating another garden for this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show – and we’re hoping to go one better and bring home a gold this time!

The flower show makes a great day out for all the family. You can vote for your favourite scarecrow, as made by primary and infant school children from around the South East. You could also help the grandkids make bumble-bee hats, whilst learning about how bugs can help out around the garden. Or there should be photo opportunities aplenty in the butterfly dome, which features a walk way through a jumble of tropical plants, surrounded by beautiful and exotic butterflies, like the one on the left.

The show runs from July 9th to the 14th, and tickets start at just £19. Come along with all your family, have a gorgeous and educational day out, and don’t forget to show your support for Metal Design Furniture. See you there!

Three New Metal Design Furniture Gazebos for Grim’s Dyke Hotel

Keen followers of our blog may remember that the beautiful Grim’s Dyke Hotel, located just 12 miles outside of London, is a one of our most glamorous customers. Guests at the hotel can already relax in the shade created by our elegant Romano gazebos or enjoy some outside dining at one of our stylish Oliver sets of chairs and tables.

Our furniture has been such a hit at the hotel that the owners have come back for more, buying three new gorgeous gazebos from our collection. Holiday makers can start their days off just right with breakfast under the gazebos pictured to the right, taking in the lush lawns and rolling countryside surrounding the hotel.

Weary travellers arriving later on at the hotel might enjoy putting their feet up and drinking a cold gin and tonic beneath the gazebo pictured below. Whatever your purpose at the Grim’s Dyke Hotel, we can make sure that you’re as comfortable as kings during your stay.

Grim’s Dyke hotel offer guests a countryside retreat from hectic city life.  The accommodation is fabulous; four-poster beds and luxury en-suites, designed to reflect the period of the building. Gillbert’s Restaurant, serving modern British food, is also open to non-residents for lunch, dinner and cream teas.

The restaurant was named after former owner W.S. Gilbert, the famous dramatist and librettist partner of Sir Arthur Sullivan.  Gilbert & Sullivan Opera performances with Dinner, take place bi-monthly throughout the year.  You can find out more by visiting the website.
