Classic Chaise Longue Brought into 2012
Whilst we offer a particular style of furniture here at MetalDesign-Furniture.co.uk, we’ve decided to peak over the fence, so to speak, at other furniture companies and discover what’s new and what’s in for those of you that like to combine the ‘luxurious’ with the more modern or minimalistic style. This post represents some interesting pieces that we want to mention.
With new designs of the classic chaise longue, comfort no longer needs to compromise design. They can be added to a room to insert style but can often be overlooked when buying for a practical purpose as when furnishing a room alternative furniture such as a three piece suite can often be cheaper and more convenient. However new and old stand alone pieces becoming more popular due to the return of vintage fashion in home interiors, so quirky items such as the chaise longue are back onto the scene.
For a traditional looking chaise longue with a back and arm rest the Mayfair mixes the classic concept of the seat with a modern twist as its edges are sharper and the wearable fabric gives a contemporary feel. This chair in dark upholstery could be the perfect addition to a formal lounge interior or a study where it could be used for reading whilst still fitting into a formal setting with a desk.
For a lounger to relax in the Bernita Leather Lounger would be perfectly placed in a bachelors pad as somewhere to kick back and chill out it. It not only has the comfort quality when looking for a new chair but also has plenty of style with its modern large quilted seat. As this chaise is positioned slightly more upright than a traditional chaise longue it could double up as a gaming chair for games consoles. However in a pale white leather upholstery this chair would not look out of place in a large bedroom or bathroom suit as a place to sit and relax.
Modern designs of chairs and seating are often the preferred types of designer furniture when furnishing trendy bars, restaurant and cafes however this type of seating can still be incorporated within your home designs. A design such as the Alizee Chaise CubeTrendy could be positioned as part of an open plan living area, as with its durable fabric and its comfort factor this chair lends itself to relaxation in a busy environment where it would be frequently in use.
